Two held with smack in Kaithal

Kaithal, Mar 13 (UNI) The police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized 60 gms of smack from their possession.

Superintendent of Police Waseem Akram said here on Wednesday that acting on a tip-off, the anti-drug cell team led by S.I. Balwan Singh raided Bakal Village area and nabbed a man who tried to flee from the spot while seeing the police.

Further investigation revealed that the man identified as Balihar Singh, is a drug peddler in the area. Police seized 50 grams smack from him.
Later, the police also arrested a drug supplier identified as Jaspal from Aftabgarh in jind district, today with 10 grams smack.

He was found to be a proclaimed offender (PO) in case of stealing paddy from fields of two farmers in Karora village area of the district in November 2015, SP said.
Both of them were produced in a local court here today, police added.
