Twin grenade attacks on Srinagar telecom office

Srinagar, Jul 24 (IBNS) In a fresh attack on telecom operators in the state militants lobbed two grenade on telecom offices in Srinagar on Friday, officials said.
According to reports, the  twin grenade blasts took place at an Aircel showroom and Vodafone tower located at Karan Nagar Chowk and Batmaloo crossing.   However no injuries have been reported yet.
 

Lashkar-e-Islam, a splinter group of the Hizbul Mujahideen, is believed to have carried out series of attacks on mobile towers in Sopore town of North Kashmir and killed one BSNL employee in Sopore in May.
 

Nobody has so far claimed the responsibility of the attacks.
