Tripura to host 10th national science film festival

Agartala, May 31 (UNI) Tripura to host 10th National Science Film Festival here in January-February next year, which will jointly be organised by Vigyan Prasar and Tripura University for the first time in the state, said Science, Technology and Environment minister Sudip Roybarman.

He said Ministry of Science and Technology had earlier several times proposed Tripura government to take part in the festival but it was not happened.

This time after getting the proposal, the state government decided to join hand for creating a platform for the talented persons who are making science films, documentary to aware the common people about science and to popularize the documentary on science, tale-films on environment and bio-diversity.

During the festival, a competition will also be held with among the participants of film festival and winner will be awarded with good amount of prizes, stated Dr Nakul Parashad of Vigyan Prasar.
