Tripura police bust fraud document makers: 4 Bangladeshis, 5 Indians arrested

Agartala: Tripura Police on Thursday busted a big racket of illegal immigrants and fraud document makers and arrested four Bangladeshis and five Indians from Agartala.

Police said based on a secret input, railway police arrested Kolsoma Begum (24) of Kalajiri Para and Riya Mani (22) of Khayer Bill of Chittagong, Sadia Mani (19) of Firozpur, Bangladesh and their guide Ebadur Rahaman (42) from Chittagong of Bangladesh.

A specific case has been registered at Agartala under sections 468/471/120B/212 of IPC AND Section 14 (A)/14(C) of Foreigners Act, police stated.

During investigation it was revealed a group of local people were fraudulently making fake AADHAR cards to facilitating illegal migrants and one Sudhan Sarkar of Amtali, here has been arrested on the charge of providing shelter to the Bangladeshi nationals in his house.

Thereafter, four more persons allegedly involved fraudsters were arrested for making fake documents for the illegal migrants and running an international racket, police informed.

They were identified as Samiran Paul (40) of South Ananda Nagar, Biplab Roy(22) of Sekerkote, Subhankar Sur of Anandanagar in Agartala and Mithun Das (36) of Udaipur in Gomati district.
