Ambassa (Tripura), Jun 21 (UNI) In an interesting turn, the decomposed corpse recovered three days ago from the river Dhalai was identified by family members of the deceased in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.

Three days ago local police recovered a dead body from the local river Dhalai after the local people found it stuck to water borne wastes at Manikbhander area. But the body was not identified and kept in the morgue. Today, the sons of one missing Paresh Debnath (65) from local Halhali area identified the body as their father's.

They reported to the police that Paresh was missing from home since June 15 and they searched him at every possible places. As he used to go missing from home occasionally hence they not thought it important to make missing diary with police. They identified the body from its attire and other marks on the body.

However, local people took it as an example of sheer negligence from the part of the family members for not filing missing diary.
