Tral killing: Mufti cautious Army In Kashmir

| | Apr 16, 2015, at 03:36 am
Srinagar, Apr 15 (IBNS) A day after the killing of a militants brother by security forces at Tral area in south Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Syed termed the killing as an "unfortunate incident" on Wednesday.

The government will find the truth behind the incident which took place in Tral on Monday, Mufti told reporters at the
sidelines here in Srinagar at SKICC.

South Kashmir’s Tral area on Tuesday witnessed protests against the killing of two persons in an encounter with the forces on Monday.

The locals termed the gun battle as a staged one, saying the two youth were not militants.

Two youths – Khalid Muzzafar Wani and Younis Ganai – were killed during army action on Monday in the woods of Kamla in Tral.

The army on Monday said it killed an unidentified militant but later after identification, the ‘unidentified militant’ turned out the brother of Burhan Muzzafar Wani.

The army said Khalid was an Over Ground Worker.

The police said it recovered the body of Younis, who was a newly-recruited militant, on Tuesday morning.
