Kolkata, Feb 25 (IBNS): In a significant development, the Trinamool Congress suspended Suri MLA Swapan Kanti Ghosh on Wednesday.

Ghosh was suspended hours after he  demonstrated outside  the West Bengal Assembly and accused the ruling party of misappropriation of funds.

"We will not allow any matter which disrupts party discipline," Trinamool Secretary General Partha Chatterjee said.

He said: "We have also started a probe into allegations that are there against him."

Chatterjee said Ghosh made the move under provocation from other political parties.
