Tibetans in Mongolia help India fight second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, donate to PM CARES FUND

Ulan Bator: A delegation of the local Tibetan community led by former abbot of Namgyal Monastery Jadho Rinpoche in Mongolia visited the Indian Embassy here recently and offered a donation to the Indian Prime ministers fund (PM CARES) to help the country fight the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

India is currently witnessing a deadly second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tibetan community in Mongolia is small compared to other countries. Nevertheless, they came together to collect a sum of 8,501,113 Tugriks, reports the Central Tibetan Administration website.

The delegation met Indian envoy M.P. Singh.

Ambassador Singh thanked the Tibetan community on behalf of the Indian Government and extended his support to the Tibetans living in Mongolia.
