Tennis icon Leander Paes joins TMC in Goa in presence of Mamata Banerjee

Panaji/IBNS: Indian tennis icon Leander Paes joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) here in Goa Friday.

Paes joined the party in presence of West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee.

Earlier in the day, actress Nafisa Ali joined the TMC in presence of Banerjee.

Banerjee has kickstarted her political campaign in Goa where her TMC is aiming to contest the next state elections in Goa.

Banerjee, who was in North Bengal for the last few days over her administrative works, reached Goa Thursday evening.

After wresting power West Bengal for the third consecutive time decimating the BJP, Banerjee's TMC is aiming to expand and start its campaign in Tripura, Assam and Goa, which are ruled by the saffron brigade.
