Narayanpet/IBNS: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Thursday assured farmers to cancel the 'Dharani' land records portal adopted by the TRS-led Telangana government if congress comes to power in the state in the next elections.

The congress party’s manifesto for the 2023 assembly elections in Telangana will have a special focus on farmer’s issues, said Gandhi while interacting with farmers' association leaders during the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra in the district resumed after a three-days Diwali break.

The manifesto will be prepared after consultations with all stakeholders, he said.

In the meeting, Rahul Gandhi urged the farmers to support in fighting against the issues in the country.

He also discussed the issues relating to tenant farmers and crop insurance with the farmer association and assured them to solve their problems including getting the full benefit of government schemes.

After a gap of three days, Gandhi resumed his yatra from Makthal in the district in the state from 6.30 AM.

Telangana State Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A Revanth Reddy, Nalgonda MP, Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and senior leaders accompanied Rahul Gandhi’s second day of the yatra.

The Yatra entered Telangana at Gudeballur village from Raichur in Karnataka on Sunday.

After completing the second day of the yatra covering a distance of 26 kms today, Rahul Gandhi stayed at night halt at Yeligandla village in the district.
