Tandon to take oath as Madhya Pradesh governor on Monday

Bhopal, July 28 (UNI): Madhya Pradesh Governor-designate Lalji Tandon is to be administered the oath of office by High Court Acting Chief Justice Ravi Shankar Jha at the Raj Bhavan on Monday, it was officially learnt.

The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 1100 hrs.

Mr Tandon – who has been serving as Bihar governor – arrived here by a special plane on Sunday and was received at the State Hangar by public relations minister PC Sharma, numerous other representatives and senior officers.

Mr Tandon succeeds Mrs Anandiben Patel who was reassigned to Uttar Pradesh.
