Table Tennis coach held under POCSO

Puducherry, Mar 20 (UNI) Police on Wednesday arrested a Table Tennis Coach under POCSO Act for sexually harassing an eleven-year-old girl student.

According to police, the sixth standard student of a private school here joined the TT coaching which would be from 6 to 8 PM in the school itself. It is alleged that the coach Nepolian (26) of Shanmughapuram here allegedly sexually harassed the girl while according training.

The girl informed her parents who in turn informed the Child Welfare Committee.The CWC conducted an inquiry in which it was proven that Nepolian has sexually harassed the girl.


The CWC then asked the Senior Superintendent of police to initiate action against Nepolian following which Mudaliarpet police registered a case and arrested him under POCSO.
