Suspected ISIS sympathiser arrested in Hyderabad

| | Sep 12, 2015, at 05:10 am
Hyderabad, Sept 11 (IBNS): A suspected ISIS sympathiser, who is identified as Afsha Jabeen alias Nicky Joseph, a friend of Salman Mohiuddin, was arrested at the Shamshabad airport here when she arrived from Dubai on Friday, reports said.
Jabeen was prohibited by the Shamshabad police in January earlier this year from joining the ISIS.

"She, after influencing Salman to join her in Dubai in order to go to Syria to join the IS, had also opened several Facebook accounts with his assistance and tried to lure several youth to join the IS and Jihad using the social media platform," The Hindu reported.

The police had been keeping a watch on Jabeen even as a case was registered against Salman and produced in the court.

Following her arrest on Friday,  she was taken into custody at the RGI Airport.

As she is a co-accused in Salman’s case, she is arrested and produced in the court.

An investigation is being carried out in connection with case.
