New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it will examine the constitutional validity of the Centre's move to scrap Article 370 which was used to grant special status to Jammu and Kashmir, media reports said.

The top court has issued a notice to the Centre.

The Narendra Modi government on August 5 withdrew Jammu and Kashmir's special status by abrogating Articles 370 and 35A.

Also the central government bifurcated the valley into two Union Territories, Jammu and Kashmir (with an assembly) and Ladakh (without an assembly).
