Supreme Court defers decision on monitoring CBI probe into Vyapam scam

New Delhi, Jul 25 (IBNS) The Supreme Court on Friday deferred till July 31 its decision on monitoring CBI probe into the Vyapam scam.

Reports said the apex court asked the  CBI as to when it would take over the entire investigation and appoint prosecutors to conduct trial in the cases.

The Supreme Court on Friday heard petitions filed by Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas.

On July nine, it had  transferred to CBI all cases relating to Vyapam scams and the subsequent mysterious deaths.

The Supreme Court had asked the agency to reply by July 24 on whether it should monitor the probe being conducted by the agency.
