Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of new CJIs in 8 High Courts

New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of new Chief Justices in eight High Courts of the country, media reports said.

Here are the recommendations

1. Justice Manmohan, who is presently the Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, is recommended to the Chief Justice of the same High Court.

2. Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, who is presently the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court, is recommended to be Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.

3. Justice Rajiv Shakdher, who is presently the Delhi High Court judge, is recommended to be the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.

4. Justice Suresh Kait, who is presently the Delhi High Court judge, is recommended to be the Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

5. Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, who is presently the Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge, is recommended to be Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court.

6. Justice Nitin Jamdar, who is presently the Bombay High Court judge, is recommended to be the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court.

7. Justice Tashi Rabstan, who is presently the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court judge, is recommended to be the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.

8. Justice K R Shriram, who is presently the Bombay High Court judge, is recommended to be Chief Justice of Madras High Court.
