#StopHindiImposition trends on Twitter after draft education policy submitted to Centre

Chennai, Jun 1 (IBNS): #StopHindiImposition has erupted in micro-blogging site Twitter after The Draft National Education Policy 2019 was submitted to the Centre a day ago.

The draft education policy, which insists on continuation of "three language policy", is perceived as an effort to impose Hindi as a mandatory language till Class 8.

One user said: "#HindiImposition never going to unite India. The states that speaks same #language are not peaceful. #Language is an identity of any culture. Do not try to break India."

Nithyakumar said: "#StopHindiImposition Down Down Hindi. Down Down BJP Down Down Kasthuri Rangan the Hindhi Brahmin 111"

Threatening to take the protest to streets, Vignesh said: "The protest will be soon taken to the streets if the central government doesn't listen. This will be bigger than the jallikattu protests."

One Twitter user said: "#StopHindiImposition India is a secular country never to forget"

Sathish Kumar said: "Yes we don't need Hindi #StopHindiImposition #TNAgainstHindiImposition #TNAgainstHindi Proud to be a tamizhan "

DMK chief MK Stalin has warned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which runs the Centre, that it will suffer a huge disaster if tries to impose Hindi, NDTV reported.
