Special status: Odisha CM to meet PM Modi

New Delhi, June 2 (IBNS) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday where he is likely to seek a special status for his state.

Patnaik will be accompanied by 24 Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MPs during his meeting with Modi.

According to reports, he is also likely to request the Modi government for a revision of mining royalty rates and approval to all pending rail projects in Odisha.

Pertinently, the BJD won 20 of the 21 seats in Odisha in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
