New Delhi/UNI: Opposition parties, led by Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, on Friday protested against BJP government's 'unconstitutional practices and hate politics', in Parliament.

The protest was held in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi inside the Parliament complex and senior Congress leaders like Motilal Vora, AK Antony, P Chidambaram, Ahmed Patel, Rahul Gandhi and leaders of other opposition parties attended it.

The protesters held placards of 'Save India', 'Save Constitution', 'No to CAA, NRC' and shouted slogans like 'Stop spreading violence and hatred', and 'wake up Modi government'.

The opposition leaders were protesting on the first day of Parliament's budget session.

The opposition parties will meet on Feb 1 after the Budget presentation to chalk out strategy to take on Narendra Modi government over issues like Citizenship Amendment Act, National Register of Citizens and economic crisis.
