Smith's century help Aus beat England in thriller
Hobart, Jan 23 (IBNS): Australia continued their dominance in the series as skipper Steve Smith smashed unbeaten 102 to help his side chase down the target of 304 runs set by England in a ODI match here on Friday.
Chasing England's 303 for eight, Australia reached 304 runs by losing seven wickets with a ball to spare.
Smith was leading Australia in the absence of suspended George Bailey.
He smashed six boundaries and a six in his knock.
Shaun Marsh (45) and Brad Haddin (42) contributed with their willows against Australia.
The Australian batsmen managed to clinch a thrilling match as the home side have won all the three games in they have played in the series so far.
Chris Woakes, Moeen Ali and Steven Finn have taken two wickets each in the match.
Earlier, riding on Ian Bell's 141 and James Taylor's 69, England had posted 303 for the loss of eight wickets.
Australia top the points table with 13 points while England stand at the second position with 5. India have not won a single match so far.
