Bhopal, June 14 (IBNS) : Prohibitory orders under Section 144, clamped in Mandsaur following farmers' agitation was lifted on Wednesday ahead of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's visit, reports said.

Chouhan will on Wednesday visit the families of the farmers who were killed in police firing last week.

The Mandsaur district  has been on boil after farmers staged a violent protest demanding better prices for their produce and waiver of loans.

The agitation turned violent and police opened fire killing five farmers.

Madhya Pradesh is ruled by the BJP and the incident had a significant political fallout with the parties like the Congress launching a bitter attack on the state Government.
