Shatrughan Sinha praises AAP chief

| | Feb 06, 2015, at 04:57 am
New Delhi, Feb 5 (IBNS): BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday praised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal and said he has a 'good image'.

"Yesterday, somebody was asking me that whether one can see the influence of Kejriwal or the AAP.. Obviously, their power is evident and that is why you are asking me the question," Sinha told media.

Calling Kejriwal a 'good person', Sinha said the AAP chief has a 'good image'.

Sinha also praised BJP's chief ministerial candidate for the Delhi Assembly polls Kiran Bedi and said: "Bedi has a clean image. She has been a very good official."

West Bengal chief minister  and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on the same day appealed to the people of Delhi to vote for the AAP in the Assembly elections on Feb 7.

In a tweet, Banerjee said, "Delhi elections on 7. My request to all of you in Delhi to please vote for AAP. For the greater need of the country and development in Delhi".

Banerjee's appeal to the people to vote for the AAP  came amid her party's bitter fight with the BJP for political supremacy in West Bengal.

She has been accusing the BJP of using the CBI against the TMC in the Saradha scam probe.

In Delhi BJP finds AAP its main rival for the struggle for power and has gone all out against Arvind Kejriwal's party which, according to pre-poll surveys, has an edge over the BJP.
