Security forces apprehend hardcore insurgent in Manipur
Guwahati: Security forces apprehended a hardcore insurgent with arms in Manipur's Imphal West district.
Keithelmanbi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) in a joint operation with Manipur Police apprehended an insurgent of proscribed group KNF (P) in Keithelmanbi Bazar area in Imphal West district.
Based on specific input, troops of Assam Rifles, along with Manipur Police, launched an operation which led to the apprehension of insurgent along with one 9 mm pistol.
The apprehended insurgent and recovered weapon were handed over to Patsoi Police Station for further investigation.
