Sasikala reaches Bengaluru jail

Bengaluru , Feb 15 (IBNS): Former AIADMK chief Sasikala has reached Bengaluru jail on Wednesday.

She is expected to surrender in the jail.

AIADMK supremo VK Sasikala, who was all geared up to take over as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu and don the mantle of late J Jayalalithaa, has been convicted by the Supreme Court in corruption cases dating back to 1990s, ending her campaign for the coveted post.

The Supreme Court refused to entertain Sasikala's plea seeking more time to surrender for undergoing jail term in the disproportionate assets case.

According to reports, Sasikala will travel by road from Chennai to Bengaluru.
