Saradha scam: CBI arrests Silicon MD

Kolkata, Jan 17 (IBNS): In the latest development in the Saradha chit fund scam case, the Central Bureau of Investigations on Saturday has arrested Silicon Group of Companies' managing director Shib Narayan Das.

According reports, he has been arrested from his own house at Ramrajatala area in Howrah district.

At the time of interrogation, Saradha's director Sudipta Sen told the CBI officers that Shib Narayan Das had given him plan to start chit fund business, media reports said.

But after the beginning of Saradha, Shib Narayan opened his own chit fund company and became the managing director of Silicon Group.

The CBI officers told that a revolver has been seized from him.
