Saradha: Madan Mitra sent to judicial custody till Jan 2

Kolkata, Dec 19 (IBNS) A Kolkata court on Friday send West Bengal Transport and Sports Minister Madan Mitra to judicial custody till Jan 2 in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam.

The court denied his bail plea.

A Kolkata court on Tuesday sent Madan Mitra to a further three-day Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody.


After questioning him for 5 hours, the CBI had arrested Madan Mitra last Friday in connection with the scam.
