Saradha: CBI files second supplementary charge sheet
Kolkata, Apr 17 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) submitted the second supplementary charge sheet in the Saradha reality case to the Alipore court on Friday.
The judge of Alipore court accepted the supplementary charge sheet.
The CBI has named former MP and Congress leader Matang Sinh and his four companies- NE Television, Positive Radio Pvt. Ltd. (Radio Oolala), North East Multimedia and Impulse Pvt Ltd. and Saradha owner Sudipta Sen's mentor Shivnarayan Das in the charge sheet.
The CBI has charged Matang Sinh under IPC sections 420 (Cheating), 409 (Criminal Breach of Trust by Public Servant) and 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy) and Shivnarayan Das under IPC sections 120-B, 420 and 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust) and under sections 4 and 6 of Prize Chits and Money Circulation (Banning) Act 1978 in the charge sheet.
Shivnarayan Das and Matang Sinh both are in judicial custody.
CBI filed the first supplementary charge sheet in Saradha reality case to the same court on Feb 18 where they charged West Bengal Sports and Transport Minister Madan Mitra, former Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose, suspended TMC MP Kunal Ghosh and the legal adviser of Saradha chief Sudipta Sen, Naresh Valodia.
