Sanjay Singh quits Congress, to join BJP tomorrow
New Delhi, July 30 (IBNS): Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh has quit the Congress and will join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, media reports said.
He is likely to join the BJP on Wednesday.
Singh told the media that he has quit the Congress and the membership of the Rajya Sabha.
"Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu has accepted his resignation," reported The Indian Express news paper.
Singh unsuccessfully fought the Lok Sabha polls from Sultanpur seat where BJP's Maneka Gandhi this time.
