Sahebganj: Body of tribal girl recovered from well

Sahebganj, Sep 18 (UNI) Body of a 18 year old tribal girl was recovered from a well at Simra village under Mirzachowki Police Station area of this district.

Police said that locals spotted the body floating in the well after which they alerted the police. The family member of the girl alleged that their daughter was raped and later she was murdered. The family claimed that to hide the evidences the body was thrown into the well.

The villagers got agitated after they got to know that last evening the girl was spotted with a boy after which they reached his home and ransacked the house however prior to that the boy alongwith his relatives had fled from the spot.

Police has been deployed in the village. Meanwhile the body of the girl has been sent for postmortem.

On the other hand, in a separate incident an old man was lynched to death in Bichkhani Pahad area of Mirzachowki as the villagers suspected him of being a child lifter.
