Safdar Nagori and ten other SIMI operatives get life sentence

Indore, Feb 27 (IBNS) : Altogether eleven Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) operatives, including its former chief Safdar Nagori and his brother Kamruddin Nagori, were on Monday sentenced to life imprisonment by the special CBI court for sedition and involvement in terror activities, The Times of India reported.

A special CBI Judge BK Paloda delivered the judgement through video conferencing as was requested  by three accused Safdar, Ahmad Baig and Mohammad Yasin.

Apart from the two brothers, others to get the sentence  are : Kamruddin Nagori, Amil Parvez, Hafiz Hussain, Peedical Shivli, Peedical Shaduli, Ansar, Kamran, Ahmed Baig, Mohammad Yasin and Munroz.

On March 26, 2008, Police had arrested Nagori and 10 other SIMI operatives from a flat in Sanyogitaganj area in Indore.
