S Jaishankar, New Zealand Deputy PM discuss collaboration for stable Indo-Pacific region

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday met New Zealand's Deputy PM Winston Peters when he thanked him for his country's support and showing of solidarity towards New Delhi following the Pahagam terror attack.

Jaishankar said during the meeting with the New Zealand leader, they agreed that the two nations should collaborate closely for a rules-based, peaceful, stable & prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

"Delighted to meet DPM & FM @winstonpeters of New Zealand this evening in Delhi," Jaishankar wrote on X after the meeting.

"Thank New Zealand for its support & solidarity on the Pahalgam terrorist attack," he said.

 "Following up from the recent visit of PM @chrisluxonmp, took stock of the progress made by our partnership," Jaishankar said. He said: "Agreed that in a more volatile & uncertain world, it’s important that India & New Zealand collaborate closely for a rules-based, peaceful, stable & prosperous Indo-Pacific region."
