S Jaishankar discusses Ukraine, bilateral issues with Antony Blinken ahead of India-US 2+2 talks

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday  spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ahead of the India-US 2+2 talks.

The two leaders discussed bilateral issues as well as the development in Ukraine.

" Spoke to @SecBlinken ahead of our 2+2 consultations. Discussed bilateral issues and latest developments pertaining to Ukraine," Jaishankar tweeted.

The talks come days after US Deputy NSA Daleep Singh was in India to dissuade New Delhi from purchasing discounted Russian crude and going ahead with the rupee-ruble payment system.
