S Jaishankar arrives in Bhutan after Bangladesh visit

New Delhi/Dhaka: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is currently in Bhutan where he met Prime Minister  Lotay Tshering on Friday.

S Jaishankar said he discussed current global and regional developments with him.

"Exchanged views on current global and regional developments that impact us all. Apprised him of the progress in our bilateral cooperation, including our development partnership," he tweeted.

He arrived in Bhutan after visiting Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, he met PM Sheikh Hasina and the country's foreign minister A.K. Abdul Momen.

During his meeting with Hasina, Jaishankar exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest with the Bangladeshi leader.

" EAM also met his counterpart, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Dr. AK Abdul Momen and extended him an invitation to attend the next meeting of the Joint Consultative Commission to be held in India prior to the visit of Prime Minister H.E. Sheikh Hasina," read a statement issued by Ministry of External Affairs.
