Rudy flags off Skill Vans to create awareness about govt. policies, initiatives on skill development

New Delhi, July 15 (IBNS) On the occasion of the first ever World Youth Skills Day on Wednesday, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy here flagged off 150 Skill Vans to create awareness among masses about the Government’s initiatives and policies of the skill development.

These vans will drive through Delhi and NCR region to make people aware about “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana”, “National Skill Development Mission” and ‘Skill Loan’ initiative etc.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi realised that the planned and sustained skill development of the youth of this country is essential to increase their job prospects and hence a new Ministry was created for the first time after 67 years of independence to focus on skill development and entrepreneurship.

He said a short duration courses can open new job opportunities for the unemployed in the country.
