Restrictions imposed in parts of Srinagar

Srinagar, May 20 (IBNS) : Strict restrictions were imposed on Saturday in three police station areas of Srinagar as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.

The restrictions have been imposed in Nowhatta, M R Gunj and Safa Kadal police station areas.

The district administration has said in a statement that the measure has been taken as a “precautionary measure”.

Moderate Hurriyat Conference lead  Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is observing “Hafta-e-Shahadat” to commemorate the “martyrdom” anniversaries of
Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Late Abdul Gani Lone.
