Ramesh Pokhriyal plants trees with children on PM Modi's birthday

New Delhi/UNI: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Thursday wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday, saying it is a privilege to have the opportunity to serve Mother India under the leadership of one who have spent their life working for a strong, safe, self-reliant India.

Pokhriyal in his greetings said, "Prayers to God for your resolve to take the country to new heights as the centre of the hopes and aspirations of 130 crore Indians and as the great son of Mother India."

He praised the Prime Minister's visionary and public welfare leadership which, he said, has instilled pride and self-respect among the 130 crore citizens of the nation and the global community has also realised the "strength and dignity of the world's largest democracy."

The Education Minister planted saplings with children of Kendriya Vidyalaya, situated at Gol Market here, and also presented books to them.
