Ram Temple Trust head who shared stage with PM Modi in Ayodhya tests Covid-19 positive

Ayodhya/IBNS: Ram Janmabhoomi Trust head Nritya Gopal Das, who was present at the 'Bhoomi Pujan' of Ram Mandir last week, has tested positive for Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19, media reports said.

Das had shared the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the ground breaking ceremony in Ayodhya on Aug 5.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat were also present on the stage.

Earlier Union Home Minister Amit Shah had tested positive for Covid-19. He could not attend the "Bhoomi Pujan" ceremony of the temple. 

Blending the occasion of the "Bhoomi Pujan" with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the PM had said in the ceremony on Aug 5, "Keep a distance of two yards [six feet] and wear mask.. it is all the more important today amid Coronavirus to follow the  maryada [values of modesty, honour, rightousness and discipline] practised by Ram."
