Rajnath meets RSS chief over new BJP president
New Delhi, May 28 (IBNS) Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday met Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat at the party's Delhi office in Jhandewalan to discuss the appointment of a new Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president.
Pertinently, RSS is the ideological patron of the BJP and plays a crucial role in the party's decision-making.
As per party rules, Singh will have to resign from the BJP president's post as he has already taken oath as a Cabinet minister.
According to sources, BJP general secretary J P Nadda might become the next BJP chief.
