Jaipur/IBNS: In a shocking incident, a Dalit man was beaten, tortured and a screwdriver dipped in petro inserted for allegedly stealing Rs. 500 in Rajasthan's Nagaur as the video went viral on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The video was of the two Dalit men who were tortured by a group of men for allegedly stealing the money.

One of the victims was seen in the video lying on the floor while his pants were pulled off by the attackers.

As one of the attackers kept his feet on the man's legs, the other dipped a screwdriver in petrol and inserted into the accused's rectum.

The victim was heard screaming but received no mercy.

Seven accused have been named in the First Information Report (FIR) registered by the police.

Five of the seven men have been arrested.

After the incident, which took place few days ago, came to light, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted, "In the horrific incident in Nagaur, immediate and effective action has been taken and seven accused have been arrested so far. Nobody will be spared. The culprits will be punished according to the law and we will ensure that the victims get justice."

Congress leader Raul Gandhi tweeted, "The recent video of two young Dalit men being brutally tortured in Nagaur, Rajasthan is horrific & sickening. I urge the state Government to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators of this shocking crime to justice."

The political blamegame has already started as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Satish Poonia said as quoted by India Today, "Claims of public welfare Government are made but incidents of this kind happen this is condemnable and Government must take strong action."
