Rajasthan: Army officer killed in freak accident

Pokhran, Sept 23 (IBNS): In a freak accident which occurred during a training exercise in the Pokhran range in Rajasthan, a young Indian Army officer has been killed, officials said on Wednesday.

The deceased officer has been identified as Major Dhruv Yadav.

Gen Dalbir Singh, COAS and All Ranks of Indian Army have condoled Yadav's death in the incident.

In a Facebook post, the Army said: "Gen Dalbir Singh, COAS and All Ranks of Indian Army express heartfelt condolences to the grief stricken family of Major Dhruv Yadav, who lost his while undergoing combat training exercise. We pray to the almighty to give the family the courage and strength to bear the irreparable loss. #BraveSonofIndia."
