Railway Ministry tweets rate list of food after complaints

New Delhi, Mar 21 (IBNS): Indian Railway Ministry tweeted the rate list of food by IR (Indian Railways) Catering after receiving repeated complains from passengers for overcharging of food by some vendors, on Tuesday.

The railway ministry has asked passengers to complain if they are overcharged again.

The ministry had received several complaints of late by passengers due to overcharging of tea. coffee, meals and water bottles by some vendors.

According to the rate list, passengers can be charged Rs 7 for a 150 ml of tea/ coffee and 1 litre of packaged drinking water can be available at Rs 15.

However, the price of a meal ranges between Rs 50-55.
