Railway Minister Prabhu faces demonstration in Kolkata

| | Aug 21, 2015, at 07:34 pm
Kolkata, Aug 21 (IBNS): Demanding immediate recruitment in Indian Railways, the Yuva League of All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) demonstrated against railway minister Suresh Prabhu on Friday in Kolkata.

When Suresh Prabhu was entering the Grand Hotel in Kolkata's Esplanade area to join a programme, he faced the demonstration.

AIFB activists sat in front of the hotel's main gate. Prabhu's convoy had to stop before the gate.

However, police somehow managed his entry into the hotel.

Suresh Prabhu denied to react on this matter.

One senior official of Kolkata Police told IBNS: "Without taking permission, few protesters demonstrated against railway minister Suresh Prabhu in front of a hotel at Esplanade. But police took him safely into the hotel. We have told hotel's authority to lock all gates up. More policemen have been deployed there to ensure Prabhu's security."
