Rahul Gandhi to visit poll-bound Tamil Nadu today

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will commence his three-day visit to Tamil Nadu on Saturday.

He is expected to interact with farmers,weavers, MSME representatives and address a public meeting during his visit to the southern state.

 Gandhi has been scheduled to visit Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Karur and Dindigul districts from January 23 to 25, reports The Hindu.

Gandhi tweeted: "I am delighted to be back in Tamil Nadu today to spend time with my Tamilian brothers and sisters in the Kongu belt."

"Together, we will defend & preserve the unique culture of the Tamils against the attacks by Modi govt," he said.

Gandhi's Tamil Nadu visit is significant as the state will vote to elect a new Assembly this year.
