Prnab Mukherjee condoles Om Puri's death

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday condoled death of actor Om Puri.

"Heartfelt condolences on sad demise of Om Puri, a versatile and iconic actor #PresidentMukherjee," President of India tweeted.

He said the Indian film industrylost a highly talented and acclaimed actor with Puri's death.

"In the passing away of Shri Om Puri, the Indian film industry has lost a highly talented and acclaimed actor #PresidentMukherjee," read another tweeted.

"His sad demise has left a huge void in the field of Indian film industry, which will be difficult to fill #PresidentMukherjee," it said.

Om Puri passed away on Friday.

He was 66.
