Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is making a strong impact on her election debut as she is currently leading by over 3 lakh votes from her nearest rival in Wayanad by-polls.

Her key opponents are Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate Sathyan Mokeri and BJP candidate Navya Haridas.

In the Lok Sabha polls this year, Congress leader and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's brother Rahul Gandhi registered a massive victory in the constituency by grabbing 6,47,445 votes.

Rahul Gandhi won the seat in 2019 and 2024.

The Congress general secretary became the candidate after Rahul Gandhi resigned keeping the other seat he won in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Rahul won from the Gandhi bastion Rae Bareli in 2024, five years after Wayanad saved his face after electoral defeat to former Union Minister Smriti Irani in Amethi.

Wayanad went to the by-polls on November 13.
