Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes Sikkim CM Pawan Chamling on birthday

New Delhi, Sept 22 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday wished Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling.

Wishing the leader, Modi tweeted: "Birthday greetings to Sikkim CM Shri Pawan Chamling Ji. For over two decades he’s been tirelessly working for Sikkim’s growth. I pray for his long and healthy life. @pawanchamling5."

Chamling created history on Apr 29 when he became the longest-serving CM of the nation.

He surpassed the record of Jyoti Basu who had served as the Chief Minister of West Bengal.

Chamling has completed 24 years as the CM of the state.
