Prez accepts WB Guv's resignation

New Delhi, July 3 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted West Bengal Governor MK Narayanan's resignation.

The President appointed Governor of Bihar Dr. D.Y. Patil to discharge the functions of the Governor of West Bengal in addition to his own duties. 

"The President has accepted the resignation of Shri M.K. Narayanan, as Governor of West Bengal and has appointed Dr. D.Y. Patil, Governor of Bihar, to discharge the functions of the Governor of West Bengal, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of West Bengal are made," the  President's Secretariat said in a statement on Thursday.
