Prayagraj: A 21-year-old youth was arrested with six live bombs by the police from Khuldabad area of Prayagraj district here in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police sources said.

Police sources told UNI that Abid, a resident of Chak Niratul, was arrested from Ghanshyam colony and during search six live bombs kept in a bag were recovered.

"Abid is the son of Chandani, who used to live with Guddu Muslim, one of the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case," they said.

Police sources said that the police have declared an award of Rs 5 lakh on the arrest of Guddu Muslim.

"He was identified for hurling bombs on Umesh Pal through CCTV footage. "Like Guddu Muslim, Chandani too is absconding," they said.

Police sources said that a case has been lodged against Abid. It may be noted that Umesh Pal, the main witness in former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal, and his two gunners were shot dead in front of his house on February 24.
