Pranab Mukherjee wishes Pakistan on National Day eve

New Delhi, Mar 22 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the eve of their National Day.

In a message to Mamnoon Hussain, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend greetings to you and to the friendly people of Pakistan on the occasion of your National Day."

"India is committed to building ties with Pakistan in an environment free from terror and violence," he said,

Mukherjee said: "I take this opportunity to extend my best wishes for your good health and well-being."
