Powerful IED recovered in Upper Assam

Guwahati, Jan 2 (IBNS): Security forces on Friday evening recovered a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Assam's Sivsagar district, officials said.
According to reports, security forces recovered the IED weighing two kilogram in front of Mahavir oil mill in Sivsagar town.
 
"Suspected militants had planted the IED for explosion in the oil riches Upper Assam town, " a top police official said.
 
Top police, army officials and bomb squad team have rushed to the area and vacated civilians from the area.
